Trapuntatura Belpunto was established in 1990 when Walter, Ivano and Gianni Santi bought their first quilting machine, inspired by the desire to launch a new business idea: fabric quilting. It was a winner: Veneto, a textile region, proved to be fertile soil for the quilting sector and, in the space of a few years, the company became a reference point for the main clothing and furnishing firms in the area. 1994 saw the first important structural investment: the purchase of a 4000 m²  building. This was the beginning of real growth, with increase in production volumes, turnover, the number of employees and machines. Five years after it was set up, Trapuntatura Belpunto had 15 employees and 8 quilting machines. At this point, the company opened its second division, perforation, a process in great demand in the leather goods and automotive sectors. In 2003 the Santi brothers felt the need to further diversify their offering. They invested in advanced machinery and opened a new division specializing in professional mattress quilting.  The firm became a limited liability company, and from 2003 to 2010 it saw a period of continuous expansion culminating in the purchase of an 10.000 m² production plant.
